Collaborating with multiple organizations, including public entities, we obtained approval for a historical marker at the Bear Lake Rest Area. This initiative is crucial as it serves as a tangible connection to the industrious settlers of Laketown, preserving and commemorating significant events and figures in our history.

I had the delightful opportunity to assist in coordinating the 150th celebration. My responsibilities included creating an online forum for community members to share pictures and memories, coordinating two tours highlighting our historic buildings and cemetery, and securing funding for Native American Dancers to share their culture and connection to our land.

When faced with limited funding, I take proactive measures to secure grants and devise fundraising strategies to actualize our projects. These efforts have yielded tangible results, such as providing fresh food for seniors in need, ensuring the preservation of the D.U.P. building through meticulous log sealing, and enhancing the 150th Celebration with marketing materials and culturally enriching events.

I am deeply passionate about preserving the legacies of our departed loved ones. Through committee work and headstone restoration, I ensure that the names and stories of those who have passed endure, undiminished by the passage of time and weathering.
